Is Walk to Give Her a Voice Free?

Yes, to participate in the walk is free. If you choose to fundraise or donate, it will go a long way to support that aim of empowering girls in need with first period kits.

What is the closing date for registration?

Registration will close once the event has reached capacity or no later than the Friday before the event. Walk to Give Her a Voice deadline is subject to change, so we advise walkers to register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Can I register more than one person at a time?

Yes, you can register multiple people by selecting ‘Add participant’ on the drop down menu

How do I register a team?

During registration, you will be asked if you’re taking part as a team. Select ‘Yes ‘

If you are a Team captain, enter your team name (you decide your name!) and your name . Other team members can also use the team’s name and their name.

If you choose to fundraise as a team, the team captain can collate the funds and give it through the JustGiving page.

I didn’t receive my confirmation emails.

How much is the walk?

Walk to Give Her a Voice is free to participate, however donations are welcome. The aim of the walk is to raise funds to support girls in need with first period kits.

Withdrawing

What happens if I have to withdraw due to injury or medical related reasons?

If you have to withdraw due to injury or medical related reasons then please email walk4her@theperiodplace.co.uk .

I can no longer make the walk due to other commitments. What are my options?

You can give your place to someone else. However, to do so, you must get in touch as soon as possible before the walk date. Please email walk4her@theperiodplace.co.uk to find out how to transfer your place.

What happens to my donation if I withdraw?

If you have already donated online with JustGiving, your online funds will automatically be sent to The Period Place charity. If you no longer wish to donate, then you can request a refund from JustGiving.

What do I do with offline donations, how do I send these to the Walk to Give Her a Voice?

Offline donations should be sent directly to The Period Place charity. If you would like to send funds by BACS transfer or cheque, please email walk4her@theperiodplace.co.uk for more information.

What are the cut-off dates for fundraising?

We kindly ask for all online and offline fundraising to be completed and sent to us no later than 2 months after the walk to enable us announce funds raised and start support for the girls in need.

Where does each walk start and end?

Route details will be confirmed closer to the date. Please check the map section on this page for the latest updates.

Is the route suitable for wheelchair users?

Walk to Give Her a Voice endeavours to make the walk route wheelchair as accessible as possible, however, unfortunately, due to the route of the walk, we cannot guarantee accessibility at this time. For more information, please email walk4her@theperiodplace.co.uk

What public transport & parking options are there?

We are not responsible for anyone’s transportation. Parking information will be sent to registered walkers and available on this page closer to your event date.
